‘City Killer’ Closer to Earth and Moon’s Orbit

City killer asteroid ‘2023 DZ2’ flew very close to Earth. American media CNN reported this information. According to reports, the City Killer asteroid came very close to Earth on Saturday (March 25) while in orbit.

The name of this asteroid has the word killer next to it, which makes anyone afraid to hear its name. But nothing scary happened. Passed right by Earth, with no damage to our planet. News from CNN.

The asteroid named ‘2023 DZ2’ came in between the orbits of the Earth and the Moon on Saturday. Then its distance from Earth was 3 lakh 84 thousand 400 km. On the other hand, its distance from the moon was 1 lakh 70 thousand kilometers.

Asteroids range in size from 131 to 328 feet. Although there are numerous asteroids of this size in the atmosphere, this is discussed separately.

Astronomers say the reason, ‘The specialty of this mineral is that it is very rare. It is unusual for an object of such a small size to pass so close to Earth. This happens once every ten years.

Astronomers said the word city killer was added next to the name of the asteroid based on the two asteroids that impacted the Earth. In 1908, an asteroid sent a shockwave to Earth during the Tungsa event. As a result, 2 thousand kilometers of Siberian forests were destroyed. Also, about 50,000 years ago,

an iron asteroid created a 180 km deep crater over an area of 1.2 km wide in present-day Arizona, USA. Experts also say that when a space object enters Earth’s orbit and hits the ground hard, and the incident happens in an uninhabited area, then there is nothing to worry about.

But if it hits a city, that city will be destroyed. Due to this people have to be evacuated from the city. Since an asteroid of this size can destroy a city, they are called city killers.

Four astronauts returned to Earth on SpaceX

Four astronauts have returned to Earth after a five-month mission aboard the International Space Station.

They returned to Earth late on Saturday (March 11) in a SpaceX capsule. They landed in the Gulf of Mexico off the Florida coast from space.

Four astronauts arrived at the International Space Station last October. The US-Russian-Japanese crew spent five months on the International Space Station. Astronauts led by NASA’s Nicole Mann, the first American woman to fly in space, left the space station for Earth on Saturday morning.

In less than 19 hours, the Dragon capsule carrying them landed in the Gulf of Mexico. They were supposed to return to Earth a week ago, but could not return due to strong winds and waves.

Astronaut Maan Radioide, who returned to Earth, said, “I am happy to be back home.” Can’t wait to breathe in the fresh air, smell the fresh grass, and enjoy the delicious food of the world.

Another astronaut among them is Koichi Wakata of Japan. Also, Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina is eager to drink hot tea ‘from a real cup, not a plastic bag’.

SpaceX Dragon takes off toward the International Station

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying two NASA astronauts, a Russian cosmonaut, and a second Emirati space travel passenger lifted off for the International Space Station on Thursday. The SpaceX Dragon Crew-6 mission lifted off from Launch Pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 12:34 a.m. local time (05:34 GMT) on Thursday.

Minutes before launch last Monday, the mission was aborted after the rocket got stuck in the filter that supplies the engine’s ignition fluid.

In a statement, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson congratulated NASA and the Space-X team on another history-making mission to the International Space Station. The Dragon crew capsule Endeavor is scheduled to arrive at the ISS at the International Space Station at 1:17 a.m. local time (06:17 GMT) on Friday after a 24-hour journey.

NASA’s Stephen Bowen and Warren Hoberg, Russia’s Andrey Fedeyev, and United Arab Emirates’ Sultan Al-Neyadi will spend six months in orbit.

Neyadi, 41, will be the fourth astronaut from an Arab country and the second astronaut from the United Arab Emirates to go into space. His native Hajj al-Mansoori flew into space on an eight-day mission in 2019. In addition, Nyadi, Hoberg, Endeavor pilot, and Russian mission expert Fedyaev – all of them will be traveling in space for the first time.

While Moscow and Washington have been at odds since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, ‘space cooperation’ remains a rare area.

Rare green comet in the earth’s sky

Dhaka Information Technology Desk: Not one year, two years, or 100 years, a rare comet named ‘A Rare Green Comet’ has reappeared after about 50 thousand years. Recently it was seen in the sky of Ladakh. Astrophotographers have already taken some beautiful and interesting pictures of the comet.

Which is quite exciting. The last time this green-colored comet appeared in the earth’s sky, the planet was ruled by Neanderthals. After that prehistoric age, the cosmic light has returned. Its dress code is C/2022 E3 (ZTF).

Astronomers found him in the orbit of Jupiter in March last year. This green comet is moving between the orbits of Earth and Mars at a speed of about 270,000 kilometers per hour. The size of its nucleus is 1.6 kilometers, and its tail is long. A few lakh kilometers long.

The comet will appear brighter as it approaches. The horizon will look so beautiful. The body of the comet is covered with ice. Inside is dark organic matter. Scientists rely on comets to learn details about the structure of the solar system. So they monitor every new comet. Of course, Sabjet has no end of interest surrounding this comet in general.

It should be noted that as it moves closer to the Sun, its icy tail is melting. Scientists said that the Himalayan Chandra Telescope located in Ladakh has taken the image of this newly discovered comet. By examining its movement in the telescope,

it is understood that it is quite fast compared to the average comet. What is the structure of this comet? It is known in the answer that the number of its tail is two. Which is made mainly of gas and dust. Comets spend most of their time at the far end of our solar system. It is located in the atmosphere of various rocks and ice that surrounds our solar system.

There are other stars and even the Milky Way’s gravitational pull is much greater than that of the Sun. Because of that sometimes cosmic objects come out. In that way, this comet is going to be seen again in the sky of the Earth. If it goes away this time,

will it return after 50 thousand years C/2022 E3? Jessica Lee, an astronomer, said, “We don’t have an estimate of how far the comet will pass the Earth this time. But it can be said, if it returns, it will not be before at least 50 thousand years.

” Scientists said it can be seen with the naked eye. But it can be seen well in a telescope. Even if you see it with the naked eye, it won’t be that bright. If you pay attention, you can see the green comet in the sky. But the brightness will gradually decrease.
