He also urged the stakeholders to work tirelessly through radical changes and adjustments in education to create human resources suitable for the Fourth Industrial Revolution or the Fifth Industrial Revolution.

The minister made the call in the speech of the chief guest at the open discussion program with the participants of the 193rd basic training of the academy at the National Education Management Academy auditorium in the capital on Tuesday.

Mustafa Jabbar highlighted the need for the digital transformation of education for the education cadre trainees appointed in the BCS 38th batch and said that the role of teachers along with the education system is immense in creating human resources suitable for the fifth industrial revolution.
Referring to the need for radical changes in education, the minister said, ‘Our students are very talented. They are capable of containing any complexity. The new generation is our greatest strength in building a smart Bangladesh.’

Mustafa Jabbar, the visionary of the digital transformation of education, said at this time, that if someone living in the present era cannot use any digital device, then their future is dark. He said, ‘We have already started the journey of digital transformation of education by teaching digital content in 650 primary schools and 28 neighborhood centers in the hilly areas with the funding of the SOF fund under the initiative of the post and telecommunication department for boys and girls in the underprivileged areas of the country. Another thousand schools are undergoing a digital transformation of education.

He said that teaching in digital mode is much more interesting than conventional teaching methods and is an effective method for creating smart human resources. Students can master a year’s syllabus easily in a month and digital delivery of lessons has increased student enrollment and regular attendance rates manifold.

The Minister of Telecommunication expressed the experience of giving lessons in digital mode in primary schools and neighborhood centers in remote and deprived areas of the country and said that many students from nearby schools are coming to these schools with TCs. There is a demand to provide digital content in schools that have computers. He said, ‘If our students are given opportunities, they can surpass any standard in the world’.
